The Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering will take place this year at Yavapai College which is located at 1100 E. Sheldon St. in Prescott, Arizona.

FRIDAY STARTING AT NOON— 8 venues with concurrent sessions featuring cowboy poets and musicians from around the state of Arizona along with guest performers from other states. A full schedule can be found in the centerfold of the program, which will be available at the mercantile located in side the Yavapai Performance Hall on campus. A souvenir program can be ordered by contacting us by e-mail.
FRIDAY NIGHT—our performance at Yavapai College Performance Hall begins at 7:30 and this year features the outstanding duo of Gary & Jean Prescott. Jean has been a solo act at the Gathering several years, and Gary will be with her again this year. They’ll be joined by Suzi Killman of Wickenburg, Rolf Flake of Gilbert, Joel Nelson, Alpine, TX., Bimbo Cheney and Mike Prince both of NV. |

SATURDAY—Beginning at 9am and running concurrent sessions until 5pm with a two hour lunch break from 12-2. A full schedule can be found in the centerfold of the program, which will be available at the mercantile located inside the Yavapai Performance Hall on campus. 40 poets and musicians will participate in sessions throughout the day.
SATURDAY NIGHT— our performance at Yavapai College Performance Hall begins at 7:30 and features THE DESERT SONS from Tucson, Arizona. This quartet has been a part of the Gathering in Prescott for 20 years, and bring with them the fabulous harmony of the Sons of the Pioneers and many of the old songs from that era. They’ll throw in a few new ones written by their lead singer, Buck Ryberg and other contemporary cowboy entertainers. They’ll be joined by Steve Lindsey, Elgin, AZ, Gary Robertson, CA., Ray Fitzgerald and Kay Kelley-Nowell both from TX., and Prescott’s own Sally Harper Bates. |
